Retroism Purchase of the Deadlock series

Slightly belated news, yes, but Retroism (previously Tommo, Inc.) has purchased the Deadlock series (among other assets) from a bankrupt Atari, Inc. The highlight of the Retroism purchase is that both Deadlock I and II are finally available for sale again and have been for nearly two years now. Of course both games are available for Windows only at this stage, but fingers crossed that this will change.

Deadlock I and II were first re-released by GOG.com in January 2014, in associated with Tommo, Inc. In October 2014, Tommo, Inc joined forces with Night Dive Studios to create Retroism, who is now the digital publisher of Deadlock I and II. The digital re-release has now expanded to other digital retailers, such as Steam and GamersGate.

The re-releases have included updated support for recent versions of Windows (except for Windows 8 for Deadlock II), with Deadlock I also having sound and music support fixed for Windows XP and up. Unfortunately, multiplayer has been removed from Deadlock I, as only legacy network options (such as IPX) were offered previously. Deadlock II has only been modified to not require the original game CD.
